The Version of You You’re Becoming Is Worth the Discomfort It Takes to Meet Them

Let’s talk about that uncomfortable, in-between space. That one where you’ve outgrown the old version of yourself but haven’t quite arrived at the new one yet.

You know what I mean, right?

It’s that feeling of “something needs to change,” but the change itself feels clunky, emotional, and at times… exhausting.

It’s like you can feel yourself becoming, yet you’re not sure what you’re becoming into.

And maybe no one else sees it. Maybe it doesn’t look like growth from the outside. But you know what?

The version of you you’re becoming is worth every single ounce of discomfort it takes to meet them.

Why does growth feel so hard?

Because it’s not just about adding new habits or chasing goals.

It’s about shedding old stories. Unlearning patterns that used to keep you safe.

It’s sitting with uncertainty instead of sprinting past it.

It’s choosing to stay present even when your nervous system is screaming, “Let’s go back to what’s familiar!”

And that’s the part no one really talks about.

Growth isn’t always a big, bold “Aha!” moment.

Sometimes it’s choosing rest instead of overworking.

Sometimes it’s saying no, even though your voice shakes.

Sometimes it’s noticing you’re slipping into people-pleasing and gently redirecting yourself toward authenticity.

It doesn’t always look like progress, but that doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

You don’t have to be “fixed” to be proud of yourself

Here’s something I tell my clients and coaching students all the time:

You can be proud of yourself and still want more.

You can be healing and still have hard days.

You can be deeply wise and still feel confused sometimes.

The version of you that you’re growing into? They don’t require perfection. They just need space to show up, and that space is made in those tiny, brave moments where you choose truth over comfort.

A moment to reflect…

If you’re in a season where everything feels shaky or uncertain, I want you to pause and ask yourself:

👉 What part of me is growing even if no one else can see it yet?
👉 Where have I shown up for myself, even quietly, even imperfectly?

Write it down. Whisper it to yourself. Celebrate it, even if it feels small.

Because this…this uncomfortable, beautiful, becoming space? It matters.

You’re doing the work. You’re becoming.

At Breaking Limitations, we support individuals in these very moments, the ones that feel hard to name but too important to ignore.

Whether you’re navigating big life transitions, burnout, trauma recovery, or rediscovering your own voice, we’re here to remind you:

You are not broken. You’re becoming.
And who you’re becoming?
They’re powerful. Peaceful. Grounded.
And absolutely worth meeting.
